General maintenance of your DOLLE balustrade system

Here are some tips for maintaining your DOLLE balustrade:

Discolouration can happen over time but is often removable with standard household products. Avoid using cleaning tools previously used on other metal surfaces, as they may carry iron particles that could adhere to and rust your balustrade.

Traditional cleaning

Most stains can be removed with clean water and a lint-free cloth.

Surface rust

Surface rust can be removed using chalk powder and alcohol. Dampen a cloth with alcohol, add a light layer of chalk powder, and gently rub—the chalk acts as an abrasive to lift the rust. Reapply alcohol and chalk as needed.

Grease and oil stains

For larger grease or oil stains, use acetone. It may be necessary to wash several times to completely remove the stain.
